La plupart des antig\u00e8nes, en particulier les antig\u00e8nes intracellulaires, se colorent plus efficacement avec le tampon PHEM qu&#8217;avec le tampon PBS. Il a \u00e9galement un effet plus limit\u00e9 sur les r\u00e9actions biochimiques et les enzymes. Par cons\u00e9quent, il est conseill\u00e9 d\u2019essayer \u00e0 la fois le PHEM et le PBS lors de la premi\u00e8re utilisation d\u2019un anticorps.
