Its chemical structure features a morpholine ring, and its pKa of 7.15 at 20\u00b0C is of particular interest for biochemical applications.<\/p>\n<p>MOPS is used as a buffer in biology and biochemistry. The pH of a solution prepared with MOPS depends on concentration and temperature, an effect that can be predicted and calculated.
